Walk And Pedal For The Planet This Saturday Sept 8th

On Saturday, September 8th at 10 a.m. at Old Mill Park, join us for a family-friendly short walk or 5K bike ride on Fredericksburg's River Trail and Canal Path.  This is event is designed to raise awareness about global warming and to support renewable energy.  Decorate your bike or make a fossil free-related sign with recycled materials! Chalk will be along the Canal Path to write down your ideas to reduce the use of fossil fuels.


10 a.m Community speakers

10:15 Baby Steps for the Climate (3 and under "tot walk" at Old Mill Park)

10:30  Walk and 5K decorated bike parade begins

11:30  Return to park (meet and greet with participants as well as booths to visit)

11:45  Park cleanup with Friends of the Rappahannock
