Not everyone owns a home—but according to recent data, the vast majority of people who don’t own a home today hope to own one in the future.

According to the 2019 National Association of Realtors’ Aspiring Home Buyers Report, the vast majority of non-homeowners in 2018 expressed a desire to own a home in the future with the percentage growing consistently throughout the year (73% in Q1, 81% in Q2, 82% in Q3, and 84% in Q4).

The Takeaway

If you’ve been thinking about putting your home on the market, now’s a great time to make a move. With 84% of non-homeowners hoping (and planning!) to buy real estate in the future, the market is there. So why not help them make their dreams come true and sell them your home?
