  • ounces beer

  • 5 eggs

  • cup milk

  • 2 1cups flour

  • ounces coconut

  • 1teaspoon salt

  • 1-2 teaspoon sugar

  • 1teaspoon baking powder

  • 15-20 large shrimp, peeled and de-veined

  • oil (for frying)


  1. Mix beer, egg, milk, flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.

  2. Dredge shrimp in batter mixture then re-dip a second time. Roll in coconut then let rest about 10 minutes.

  3. Heat oil and deep fry until golden.
